ARCA Academy Class - Solar

Friday, October 2, 2026
8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Arizona Time)

In this class we will focus on roof penetrations and sealing methods used in solar installations, explaining how solar mounts are installed and sealed across different roof types (tile, shingle, and flat or low-slope roofs). It will cover how many penetrations are typically made and where they are placed, the difference between quick, low-cost fixes versus code-compliant, long-term solutions, and common red flags contractors should watch for. The goal is to help roofing contractors understand how solar work impacts roof integrity, warranties, and liability, and how to identify quality installations versus shortcuts.
