Greetings To All ARCA Members:

Are you a “Survivor”?  That is the theme for this year’s convention.  This will be the 39th annual convention of the Arizona Roofing Contractors Association.  The convention is scheduled for October 2-4, 2008 at the Prescott Resort and Convention Center.  Given the state of the economy, the convention committee chose to keep our costs low to help everyone out this year.  Thanks to the Prescott Resort for giving us the same rates as 5 years ago!

This year’s convention committee has been very diligent in keeping with the Survivor theme.  They are putting work related items in the take home bags to provide you with some modern day survival tools.  The hard work that the committee puts in will show in the registration package, from the welcome party through Saturday evening’s event.  Throughout a difficult year, they have risen to the challenge and have done an outstanding job.

The convention will kick off with the 11th Annual Golf Championship on Thursday.  The non-golfers will be treated to a vineyard lunch tour.  The first meal together will be Thursday evening at Watson Lake Park for our steak cookout.  The weekend will continue with a poker tournament, more golf, sporting clays, bingo social, silent auction, trade show, roofer’s auction, business meeting, seminars, installation banquet, and Saturday evening’s festivities.

Something new this year, you must register for the convention prior to making your room reservations at the Prescott Resort.               

Please read the registration packet carefully.  Send in your full registration form with payment to the ARCA office by fax, mail, email or in person.  ARCA staff will telephone you to provide a confirmation number that you must use when you call the Prescott Resort to reserve your room.  Availability will be handled on an as received, first come basis.  It is our goal that everyone will have the same opportunity to stay at the Prescott Resort.  We’ll have plenty of rooms available at our back up hotel, the Hassayampa Inn.
